is it possible to make night vision. if i were to make a transparent texture is it possible to bind it to a hotkey so it displays in first person only???

I'm not sure that making the texture opacity a greenish color would do it. You'd have to encode something to "lighten" which I don't think is possible.
The closest thing to night-vision is the scope of the sniper rifles.
