It depends entirely on the unit attacking you. If its a PIC, and you are reletivly close to your target, by all means make haste and go.

Keep in mind, if you are on GDI, the APC only has 300 health, and 300 armour I believe. The OB will be happy to take 300 of either away. Which means you can take 2 hits. If you are under attack from a PIC, or Mobius, then rush away from them, All you need is 300 hp/armour at the least in order to get into a Nod base.
