I do this whenever I drop off a beacon. It causes chaos and mayhem as the engineers are trying to diffuse, fight my stealth off, and get out of each others way.
Where in your experiences, have you found this to be most effective? Right on top of it(possibly camoflauged by the beacon) or away a distance so the engineers HAVE to disarm it before they get near the beacon?

its always a good feeling when your are fending off a beacon and then a swarm of engins C4 u, but as u wait back at your base u suddenly kill 4-6 people from a timed C4 the over looked

if you put c4 right ontop of the beacon they can disarm the beacon without fear. This is why I put it in spots where they have to get into the c4's death area to disarm the beacon proerly.

put it 5 steps away from the beacon, and fuse for the beacon is 45 secs, the engineers won't respond for 15 secs, so throw your c4 5 secs after you deploy, you distract the engineers long enough, the c4 blows, and beacon hits

with 50\% chance of my beacon going off everytime i got stealth nuking (keep in mind I will not nuke unless I know it's safe to do so, I perfer to nuke with a stealth tank guarding it)
